Rose left an 18-year career in corporate America to open RashawnRose in 2006 — inspired by what shopping for her daughter's sweet 16 dress should have felt like. The very first dress we sold came out of a bedroom closet, before the store ever had a door.

2006The Beginning

A sweet 16 dress, and a leap of faith.

After months of shopping for a sweet 16 dress for one of her daughters, Rose was so inspired by what that experience should have felt like that she made a decision: leave an 18-year career in corporate America and open a dress boutique of her own.

The very first dress RashawnRose ever sold came out of the bedroom closet in our home — before the store ever had a door. That belief, that a milestone deserves a real in-person experience, became the boutique's first quiet rule. It's the same rule the room runs on today.

The Growth YearsBuilding the Room

From a closet to a destination.

What started at home grew into a full boutique on State Road 84 in Davie — a family-owned room where brides, prom girls, quinceañera honorees and their mothers all find a place.

Every year we began to travel — to New York, Chicago, Atlanta and even out of the country — to bring unique designers home to South Florida. The roster grew to more than 25 designer houses spanning bridal, prom and evening, all under one roof.

Two decades later, RashawnRose is still family-owned and still on State Road 84. The buying trips continue, the welcome stays the same, and the promise hasn't changed: every bride and every prom girl deserves the in-person experience a milestone calls for.

We hand-pick every designer on buying trips around the world, so the racks in Davie carry names you won't find on every corner. From couture bridal ateliers to the prom labels lighting up every South Florida red carpet, it's a curated room — not a crowded one.

Booking an appointment means a reserved fitting room and a dedicated stylist who pulls options by your color, size and wear date. One-on-one, relaxed, never rushed. Inclusive and welcoming for every shape, size and taste.
